About

Being without dental insurance or a dental plan – whether just for you or your entire family is not a good feeling.  In my experience, there are two significant concerns:

  1. You’re worried that at some point you’ll be faced with more dental work than you can afford – but is necessary; and
  2. You simply don’t go to the dentist regularly which in turn can result to bigger problems in the future.

There have been times when I haven’t had dental coverage and times I’ve had it.  I know first-hand that I get dental check-ups and cleanings far more consistently when I have a plan in place.  I believe this is the case for two reasons:

  1. The cost is covered
  2. I have it in my mind that since I’m paying for a dental plan, I may as well use it.

Who am I?

I’m a writer and extensive website publisher on health-related topics including dental insurance and plans.  I love researching and writing on health because these are topics that help people.

I also work in the legal industry and in particular, deal with insurance companies.  I’m not an insurance agent or broker – so I don’t have any specific insurance training, but I am familiar with insurance generally.

Health and writing about it is my passion.  Insurance-related work is my vocation.  This website is an amalgamation of my passion for researching and writing on health, and working knowledge and experience with insurance.

I’m married, live on the West coast.  In fact I was raised on the West coast.  I spent several years in the midwest, but found my way back to the west a few years ago.

In addition to writing online about health and insurance, I love gardening, hiking, listening to music, and cooking.
